 Great but extremely short life April 25, 2010

I put these in my Trajet minivan and they work great but they have a very short life. I like to drive with my lights on during the day (for visibility) as well but I would expect a headlight to last longer then 5 months and this is my second set that acted exactly the same.

I installed this on a Mazda 3 with projector-type headlights. There's no comparison with the previous Sylvania OEM bulb. This is at least twice as bright and as the name implies "intense white". No hint of blue, which I did not want.
We shall see how long this will last, as the Sylvanias didn't even last 14 months.

Cheaper than the 4000k lamps (4100k here) and WHITE beam, not yellow or blue. Now... if they last more than 7 months, i'll be happy! Vehicle is a 2004 Hyundai Elantra without day time running lamps. Moderate night usage. The other PIAA's only lasted about 7 months (the Xtreme White/Blue 4000k) series.
